Fiery Abstract 1, ACEO

"Fiery Abstract 1" ACEO
2.5" x 3.5"
Watercolor on Arches 140 lb CP
I just posted four little Fiery Abstract Landscapes on my Etsy shop. This one is my favorite, but they were all great fun to do! Lots of wet on wet technique, layering and fusing. These little paintings are ACEOs, which stands for Art Cards, Editions, and Originals. They are miniature works of art the size of a trading card or playing card - 2.5" x 3.5" (6.35 x 8.89cm) - and they're an inexpensive way to buy original art.
I have the approved drawing ready for Duncan and Tucker's portraits, so I'll be starting the painting tomorrow.

Love that Spring time in Texas print. Thanks for visiting my blog. I live in Central Texas so not sure my passion vine would cover my arbor, but would love to give it a try. Yours must be gorgeous. Is it possible to take cuttings of passion vines, do you know? I have a friend with one, but didn't know if that would work.

Love this abstract. Your reds are wonderful!
Hi KayzKreationz,
Thank you! I think you can take a cutting, but you have to let it root in water and root stimulator first, I would say. Then plant it in the ground between November and April. Not much later than April because it needs to get a strong root system established before the heat of the Texas summer, of course! Good Luck!
Hi Leslie,
Thanks so much! Yes, I love making these little abstracts. And watercolor is just so great for fusing and blending those amazing colors!
I love the reds! So spicy!
